Beach Community Bank NW Florida

Giving Back to Our Community

Beach Community Bank and its employees work hard to make Northwest Florida a better place to live. We are actively involved in serving our local communities in ways other than just as bankers by supporting many local non-profit organizations with donations, sponsorships, community involvement and our time.

Through our local Habitat for Humanity affiliates in Pensacola and Fort Walton Beach, we have sponsored, with interest free loans, nine new homes for deserving families. Bank employees have and currently serve on the Board of Directors for the local affiliates. Employees also serve on the Pensacola Downtown Improvement Board as well as Truth for Youth’s board.

We’ve been a part of the YMCA’s Strong Kids Campaign, Sunrise to Sunset Capital Campaign, Fire Truck pull, soccer teams, and charity golf tournaments. Each year our employees enjoy participating in the Ronald McDonald House’s Kaps for Kids and Plane Pull events. United Way receives our support every year with Day of Caring, Denim and Diamonds and Coats for Kids at Christmas.

Relay for Life teams and other events by the American Cancer Society have been a large part of our volunteer time for many years. Numerous employees are actively involved in organizing fundraising events from a bank wide Chili Cook-Off to rummage sales. We’ve also been a proud supporter of the American Heart Association by being a Bank Day Sponsor as well as a Heart Walk and Heart Ball Sponsor. The past two years we were a proud sponsor of the Amercian Diabetes Association’s Tour deCure.

Employees look forward to our sponsorship of the Pensacola Heritage Foundation’s Evenings in Olde Seville Square. It’s a time to relax and enjoy our local artists. The same is true when we participate in Dowtown Pensacola's Gallery Nights.

Beach Community Bank, along with the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office, brought the SafeAssured ID program to the community at no cost. The SafeAssured ID program creates an encrypted mini-CD of information about a child to help law enforcement make the most of the first 48 hours if a child goes missing.

In 2006, we formed the Beach Community Bank Scholarship Endowment with the Northwest Florida State College Foundation by giving a gift of $12,000 to be used for tuition, fees and books. The scholarship is awarded to a student majoring in business or accounting. To see more about the scholarship, follow this link. The bank has been the Corporate Sponsor for the Foundation’s Sporting Clay Shoot. Proceeds from the event benefit the Raider Athletic Housing program.

Many more causes including Okaloosa Saves, Fisher House of the Emerald Coast, Emerald Coast Foundation, Junior Achievement, Independence for the Blind and Big Brothers, Big Sisters are supported by the bank. In May 2008, we were the title sponsor for the Doolittle Raiders Homecoming, which benefitted the Fisher House of the Emerald Coast.

By participating in and sponsoring various Eglin Air Force Base and Hurlburt Field activities, we proudly show our support for our military. Magnolia Day for Officers’ Spouses, the Air Armament Center Enlisted Club and the Quarterly and Annual Award Ceremonies for both bases are just a few of the activities we have sponsored.

Chambers of Commerce are a great resource for getting involved and learning the needs of our local business communities. We are actively involved with the Crestview, Niceville-Valparaiso, Destin, Fort Walton Beach, Gulf Breeze, Navarre, and Pensacola Chambers of Commerce.

Many of our employees are actively involved in and support service organizations such as Rotary International, the Kiwanis Club, Sertoma, Junior League of the Emerald Coast and the Exchange Club.

We are proud members of the area Chambers of Commerce.
